eConsultant2: Solar Ultra Mega Power Project (Madhya Pradesh) – Technical Consultant

Government of Madhya Pradesh (GoMP) in partnership with Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), Government of India, is keen to setup a 750 MW PV solar park in the Rewa District of Madhya Pradesh through private sector participation. This includes developing the infrastructure facilities of the solar park and subsequently selecting the private sector developer(s) to develop and operate the solar PV project(s) in the solar park.

Evaluation of the Public-Private Infrastructure Advisory Facility’s Sub-National Technical Assistance Program (PPIAF-SNTA):

The Public-Private Infrastructure Advisory Facility (PPIAF) is a multi-donor technical assistance facility that is housed within and is the principal donor funded program of the World Banks PPP Cross-Cutting Solution Area.

PPIAFs Sub-National Technical Assistance Program (SNTA) began operations in July 2007, and has now completed eight years of operations. During PPIAFs annual program council meeting in Dakar, Senegal in May 2015, PPIAFs donors requested that an impact evaluation of the SNTA program be included in the FY16 Work Program. PPIAF is therefore commissioning this Independent Evaluation of the SNTA Programs performance and progress to date, to inform/evidence the Programs longer-term prospects and identify need for inputs in the future. India Bihar Kosi Basin Development Project

On August 6, the World Bank Board of Directors will be discussing the India Bihar Kosi Basin Development Project. This project is worth a total of $375 million, of which $250 million is provided by the World Bank, and $125 by the borrowing country.

The project development objective is to enhance resilience to floods and increase agricultural production and productivity in the targeted districts in the Kosi River Basin, and to improve the Government of Bihar’s capacity to respond promptly and effectively to an eligible crisis or emergency.

Morocco – Large Scale Irrigation Modernization Project

On July 8, the World Bank Board of Directors approved the Morocco Large Scale Irrigation Modernization Project, worth a total of $187.5 million, of which $150 million is provided by the World Bank.

The development objectives of the Large Scale Irrigation Modernization Project for Morocco are: (i) for the Doukkala Regional Agricultural Development Office (ORMVA), the Gharb ORMVA, the Haouz ORMVA, and the Tadla ORMVA, to provide improved water service to farmers; and (ii) for targeted farmers in the project area, to have better access to improved irrigation technologies.
