company Rhodes PNG, is exploring the possibility of establishing a technical training college for women in PNG. Rhodes PNG has identified a site located at their Napa Napa campus, outside of Port Moresby, and have indicated they are interested in donating that site for use as a womens technical training college. IFC is now at the stage of conducting a detailed market assessment which will feed into the development of a detailed business plan for the proposed training college (Womens TVET project).

The objective of this assignment is to conduct a landscape analysis and market study to assess the feasibility of the proposed Womens TVET Project. It will include an assessment of the industry demand for skills and commitment toward supporting improved supply of skilled workers; , the current training supply in PNG; as well as the challenges and opportunities for women to access more and better training, and ultimately to access jobs. This assignment also aims to raise awareness of the project and obtain initial buy-in from industry.

Outputs under this assignment will be use to canvass potential investors and inform a go/ no go decision prior to developing a full business plan

eC2: Integrated Transport System at the Foz do Rio Itajai region: Pre-Feasibility Engineering Study

The objective of this study is to carry out an engineering pre-feasibility analysis of a Buspe-bus-to-barranco-geraint-rowland-flickr Rapid Transit (BRT) project in the “Foz do Rio Itajai” metropolitan area in the State of Santa Catarina, Brazil. The project consists in the implementation of a greenfield BRT system with a network of five BRT corridors and six priority bus lanes, which is expected to support a ridership of 525,000 passenger trips per day by 2030. The objective of this study is to: (i) review and validate existing pre-feasibility engineering studies, (ii) further develop the preliminary project design, (iii) estimate capital and operational costs; and (iv) provide technical recommendations for the subsequent phase.

eC2: ENERGY AUDIT AND PRE-FEASIBILITY STUDY FOR NAMANGAN CITY SUVOKOVA

Objective:  The specific objective of this assignment is to explore options to unlock energy efficiency and demand management potential of Namangan city water supply and sewerage utility, by analyzing its energy performance indicators and identifying energy savings and load shifting options. This Consultancy assignment consists of three primary and interrelated tasks: (1) Energy Efficiency Audit; (2) Analysis of Time-of-Use of pumping operations to identify options to reduce electricity costs; and (3) Pre-feasibility studies for energy efficiency and load management investments. Commencement of the services is approximately scheduled for May 2018, to be implemented over a 9-month period. Further details are provided in the attached Terms of Reference.
