The objective of the project is to support the SMEs in Cote d’Ivoire to effectively participate in the on-going procurement reform and win more procurement contracts through a transparent and competitive process. The winning firm is expected to design and roll out a training program to train SMEs, in coordination with the authority. The selected firm is required to put forward a team that includes an individual who is well versed in the public procurement policy and institutional framework of Cote d’Ivoire as well as an individual with extensive experience in providing capacity building with thorough understanding of the reality of SMEs in Cote d’Ivoire.
The assignment is expected to be a fixed budget contract of $300,000.

eC2: Capacity Building Program for Community Forestry Management

The objective of this consultancy is to design and implement a capacity building programport_barton_palawan2 for community forestry that will benefit the implementation of the ASL projects in Brazil, Peru and Colombia. The process should involve a comprehensive study tour that will provide an opportunity for the participants to learn from successful cases and receive technical knowledge. Considering similarities with the conditions of the ASL projects, it is suggested that the study tour considers learning from the community management experiences In the Guatemala Maya Biosphere Reserve. Due to previous engagement in forest community, working with the Association of Forest Communities of Peten (ACOFOP) and the NGO PRIMSA would be required.
The capacity building program should also encourage the establishment of a community of learners among the beneficiaries, offering them with tools to become trainers of peers in their own countries and within their projects. The program shall also result in a set of guidelines to allow scaling up for other participants, exchanges and topics.

To build greater knowledge and confidence through training programs within the financial sector on providing sustainable financing for energy efficiency initiatives for MSEs, supporting FIs in their understanding of EE Financing and on leveraging the risk-sharing facilities setup by the Government of India, the IFC/ WBG and the BEE; the team is seeking a Consultant Firm. Specific objectives include:
1) Individual assessments and summary report of 20 municipalities including what tabular and spatial data exists, what format this data is in, how existing data is being used, what data must still be collected, what technology, including equipment, is currently being used to apply the data to the planning process of the municipality;
2) Study of data standards/specifications being used for collection and maintenance of data pertaining to cadastral, critical infrastructure, land use, etc. as well as broader planning and hazard/risk assessments;
3) Recommendation on what municipal services could be linked with geospatial data; and,
4) Preparation of a strategy for enhancement of technical capacity and equipment for different types of municipalities.
