Across the world, our investment and advice helped the private sector create jobs, strengthen infrastructure, and address the most urgent development challenges in emerging markets.
This report marks the end of the IFC-led SheWorks global private sector partnership to advance employment opportunities and improve working conditions for more than 300,000 women by 2016. It consolidates the knowledge, best practices, and lessons learned during the two-year SheWorks partnership so that other companies committed to investing in women’s employment can benefit as well. The report also captures, on an aggregate level, the progress made by SheWorks member companies towards realizing their commitments.

finance the services of a consultancy to investigate and, if merited, pilot a technology innovation platform for the water/wastewater sector in Sub Saharan Africa (SSA). This project is intended to enable technology transfer and innovation in water utilities and the water sector.

The World Bank Group Framework/IFC Strategy for Engagement in the palm oil sector has identified smallholder development as a top priority for achieving more equitable benefit-sharing and better livelihoods for smallholders. IFCs Project on Indonesian Palm Oil Development for Smallholders (IPODS) is an innovative approach to improve the livelihoods and sustainability performance of independent smallholders. IFC in partnership with PT. Musim Mas is to implement an IPODS project with PT. Siringo Ringo in Rantau Prapat, North Sumatra.

The course should present in an integrated way the range of issues and topics at play in sustainable forest and landscape management interventions.

The objective of the assignment is to develop training material to support and guide Participating Financial Institutions (PFIs) involved in CAMP4ASBs Regional Climate Investment Facility. The International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private sector investment arm of the World Bank Group (WBG), pursues its mission of reducing poverty and improving peoples lives by promoting private sector development through investment and advisory services.
The IFC wishes to publish an Expression of Interest (EoI) to contract a firm (locally based in Rwanda) to design and implement a cooperative business management capacity building program among cooperatives in Rwanda working with major off taker in the Maize and Soy subsector of Rwanda The program will initially cover 8 maize (and soy bean) growers cooperatives in Eastern province for at least two (2) years.

The overall objective of this consultancy is to accelerate and promote understanding and reinforcement in the implementation of the Green Building Code and best practices on sustainability for Colombian Cities.

The envisaged scope of the Master Agreement would be based on access to high quality, global, and regularly updated wind resource data from a maintained dataset, founded on the most advanced, peer reviewed wind resource modeling methodologies currently available. The resource data shall be scientifically validated using ground-based measurements where these exist, with the validation results in the public domain. However, the Master Agreement would not include provision for new ground-based measurements, nor would the winning Vendor be expected to commission ground-based measurements themselves. The dataset shall include all the key variables for mesoscale wind resource assessment, at multiple heights, at a minimum resolution of 3km, and with a temporal coverage of at least 10 years.

IFC’s Hydro Advisory program is currently implementing a new environmental and social standards in the hydropower sector program in Myanmar. The overall program aims to increase the share of new hydropower investments that adhere to good international industry E&S practices and will involve working closely with government, the private sector, the World Bank and other stakeholders in this space.
The purpose of the assignment will be for a Myanmar National Consultant to assist with program support, implementation of activities, and communication.
