The CIF Administrative Unit seeks to engage consultancy services to conduct a gap analysis of theClimate-Change-Story-Banner climate finance landscape that analyzes the role of key entities/actors delivering climate finance and articulates if and where the CIF business model may hold a comparative advantage within this landscape. This analysis would inform the work to be carried out by the CIF Administrative Unit and the MDBs to develop new models for the future operations of the CIF for consideration by the joint meeting of the CTF and SCF Trust Fund Committees at its next meeting in mid-2016.

ENERGY EFFICIENCY REVIEW OF DAR ES SALAAM CITY WATER AND SEWERAGE SERVICES

The Ministry of Water (MoW) has initiated a reform process to reorganize the Dar es Salaam Water and Sewerage Authority (DAWASA) and the Dar es Salaam Water and Sewerage Corporation (DAWASCo) who are responsible for delivery of water and sewerage services in the city. Under the proposed reorganization, DAWASA will be responsible for bulk water production and wastewater treatment, while DAWASCO will be the downstream distributor of water supply and will be responsible for sewerage service provision for the city. In their new mandate, they will both be major consumers of energy.

The objective of this assignment is to audit the energy efficiency in the operations of DAWASA and DAWASCO, leading to suggestions for improvement in utilization of energy and reducing costs.

eConsultant2: Small-scale water reservoirs in Mozambique

IFC and its agribusiness client in Mozambique are looking for a consulting firm with civil engineering and hydrology expertise to determine optimal locations for 100 to 150 small scale earthen water reservoirs within specific target catchments in two provinces. The location of the reservoirs will be recommended based on physical and social factors, which the consulting firm will have researched, analyzed and utilized in the development of its report.

A potential second phase of the project will include developing drawings and costs for up to 150 reservoir sites.
