IFC and its agribusiness client in Mozambique are looking for a consulting firm with civil engineering and hydrology expertise to determine optimal locations for 100 to 150 small scale earthen water reservoirs within specific target catchments in two provinces. The location of the reservoirs will be recommended based on physical and social factors, which the consulting firm will have researched, analyzed and utilized in the development of its report.

A potential second phase of the project will include developing drawings and costs for up to 150 reservoir sites.

The specific objectives of the MBA are to:Bangladesh partnership

Mobilize human, technical and financial resources for the implementation of studies, research and works for the use of water resources for economic, social and environmental development of the Mono Basin;
These specific objectives are the medium and long-term intervention framework developed by member states and should be considered interrelated. A Strategic Action Plan for 2016 2020, aimed at translating these objectives into activities and supporting the development of a sustainable funding mechanism for the MBA, is under formulation.
