The Government of Madagascar has requested the assistance of the International Finance evd__8324Corporation (IFC) to act as lead advisor for the selection of independent private producers (IPPs) to develop a total capacity of 40 MW of solar power, across several sites. IFC will provide transaction advisory services for the structuring of the transaction and the selection of suitable private investors, through a competitive bidding process.

eConsultant 2: Flood Risk Assessment in South East Asia

This assignment is to develop a multi-country flood hazard and risk model for a quick waterresponse financing mechanism and pricing for market-based parametric financial instruments. The model may utilize a combination of various data sources, such as historical flood and rainfall data, to underpin a rapid flood assessment methodology that triggers payouts when the event is more severe than a pre-defined threshold. The extent of an event that may trigger a payout should be measured by real-time data sources, such as satellite-based rainfall data, satellite-based flood data, rainfall gauges and river discharge gauges. eConsultant2: PREPARATION OF A RAPID CORRIDOR DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY FOR BHOPAL INDORE SUPER CORRIDOR

The Govt of Madhya Pradesh is keen to develop the region between Indore and Bhopal as India buildinga network of urban and economic clusters, with focus on creating employment opportunities and providing high quality infrastructure and social amenities. This region is being referred to as the Bhopal Indore Super Corridor (BISCO) Region. As part of its preparation of the proposed Madhya Pradesh Urban Development Project, Urban Administration and Development Directorate, GoMP, has asked the World Bank to support the drafting of the strategic corridor development strategy for BISCO region. The objective of this consultancy is to hire a consultancy firm, or a consortium of firms, to prepare a strategic corridor development strategy that will outline how the existing transportation corridor can be catalyzed into an urban and economic corridor, underpinned by regional development approaches.

eConsultant2: Environmental & Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) of the Semeikhon Riverside Port Project in Myanmar

This greenfield project will be developed by MMID. IFC, through its proposed equity participation in this InfraVentures project, will play the role of co-developer. SMP is located India buildingalong the bank of Ayeyarwady River, around 70 km from Mandalay city in Myanmar. MMID is also the developer of Myotha Industrial Park (MIP), a greenfield 10,000 acre mixed-used Industrial Zone.The land footprint of SMP (all phases) is about 152 hectares with an expected quay length of 1,500 meters. SMP will be developed in phases as container port traffic builds up over time.
