Four new ambulance boats for Bangladesh

The Dutch firm Dutch Health has delivered four new ambulance boats to Bangladesh.

This delivery is a direct result of the World Bank tender Dutch Health won previously to deliver six boats to Bangladesh:

User and customer of Dutch Heatlh Water Ambulances are very satified with the excellent operations of 6x Rescue Eagle 1 in the remote water rich areas of Bangladesh.
As this are the first of its kind in the country, Dutch Health is developing and adapting its Rescue Eagle 4 for especially Search & Rescue Operations. It will be adapted to the functional requirements of the client and will service in times of flood and evacuations.
It will serve beyond normal patient transport.

Carbon Pricing Is Expanding: Initiatives Now Valued at Nearly $50 Billion

  • The new Carbon Pricing Watch compiles the latest data on formal carbon pricing initiatives around the world. Several carbon taxes and one of the world’s largest emissions trading systems started in the past year and a half, and more are planned in the coming years.
  • The new and existing systems are also evolving. California and Quebec linked their markets. China has been learning from its seven local carbon markets as it plans for a national emissions trading system.

Op 10 juni a.s. vindt er in Den Haag een evenement plaats ter voorbereiding van de World Humanitarian Summit in Istanbul, georganiseerd door RVO.nl in samenwerking met de Verenigde Naties (o.a. OCHA) en het Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken. Doel van deze bijeenkomst is Nederlandse private partijen de kans te bieden om (innovatieve) ideeën, initiatieven en lopende activiteiten ten aanzien van rampen en crises te bespreken en mogelijke partners voor samenwerking te vinden.
