IFC through its Advisory Services activities is working in PNG to improve the income of the lead firm linked small holder farmers by improving farmer access to technology, markets, finance and information.

IFC will work with a distributor(the Client)who is a new entrant to the fresh produce supply chain. Working with the client to build its capacity in fresh produce supply is envisaged to improve opportunities for farmers, particularly women farmers in the highlands to access markets in Port Moresby through the deployment of extension training, improved access to inputs and access to information. IFC work with the client to build its internal fresh produce supply chain and logistics capacity and link the farmers to markets in Port Moresby. As part of the fresh produce supply chain development in the Agribusiness PNG Project, IFC is now seeking a qualified consulting firm to build the capacity of the Client in providing pest/disease relate extension services to farmers. eC2: Scaling Solar – Technical, Environmental and Social Consultant

IFC has been retained as lead transaction advisor by Ethiopian Electric Power to procure scaling+solar+main+bannerthe development, construction and operation and maintenance of up to 500MW of utility scale solar PV projects on a PPP basis under the Scaling Solar Program (the Project).

As such, IFC is procuring a technical, environmental and social consulting firm to advise on the Project. The assignment will be split in to several phases and is expected to include:

Evaluation of a shortlist of potential sites; review of grid code and development of the PPA technical limits schedule; detailed site studies for selected sites, including ground investigations, grid integration studies and E&S scoping; and support to the tender process (e.g. tailoring of the technical and E&S content in the template transaction documents, prequalification evaluation, responding to bidders clarifications, bid evaluation, negotiation support).

Use of a local partner for ground investigations and local E&S expertise is recommended.

The International Finance Corporation (IFC) is in discussions with governments in the East and South Asia region, including Government of Sri Lanka, and Government of Myanmar, to act as Lead Transaction Advisor in assisting in the development of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) import terminal infrastructure, under a Public Private Partnership (PPP) model (the Project). IFC seeks to appoint Technical Consultant(s) to assist in technical due diligence for the proposed project(s) including determination of demand assessment, LNG procurement strategy, site assessments, preliminary project design and costing, environment and social scoping studies, and other technical inputs to contract design and bid process.

eC2: Indonesia Agriculture Insurance Value Chain Mapping

The IFC Indonesia Agriculture Insurance project objective is to contribute to increased _DSC8598investments in agriculture and rural communities by introducing insurance solutions to reduce the risks faced by farmers and lenders/businesses working with farmers due to adverse weather events/risks related to climate change (drought/flood/hurricane, etc.).

IFC invites proposals from qualified consultants/firms to conduct Value Chain Mapping of Agriculture commodities in Indonesia, with the objective of identifying promising Agriculture (index) insurance opportunities at different points along the value chain of at least 3 to 4 Agriculture commodities for this project.

The mapping is to provide a clear picture on: 1) Key agriculture commodities to target; 2) Market size/potential – number of farmers & premium volume; and 3) Distribution partners (Agribusinesses, banks, farmers organizations).

eC2: Water Utilities in Colombia – Market Mapping

The objective of this assignment is to identify creditworthy waterpublic (municipal and regional), private and mixed-ownership water utilities in Colombia, which have realistic chances of becoming IFC investment and advisory clients (criteria to be provided further).
