Agriculture is the major source of income for rural households in Mozambique (province of Tete). Market orientation however is strikingly low especially for women with most of the farmers specializing in staple or subsistence crops. The World Bank invites interested parties to submit expressions of interest for implementation of an intervention that will provide women farmers with (i) agricultural extension training, and (ii) noncognitive/behavioural skills training. Following the successful launch of the program in Nigeria in March 2015, a pan-Nigeria consumer education campaign commenced with the objective of increasing awareness and adoption of solar lighting products in Nigeria. An assessment of the impact of the campaign revealed growing awareness of solar lighting products. The Lighting Africa, Nigeria Program has observed the increasing importance of digital marketing as a vital piece in the communication mix and is now seeking a marketing firm to deliver a high-impact consumer education campaign that builds on initial digital activities and amplifies the ATL and BTL efforts to achieve accelerated behavior change and drive rapid sales of quality verified solar lighting products

ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION
The primary objective of the engagement is the development and launch of the PSA open data portal/website to provide access to the public on all data products of PSA.
The contractor will be responsible for delivering the following:
1.Development of PSAs open data portal;
2.Curation of PSA data;
3.Development of a maiden data dashboard or visualization within the same portal;
4.Training for PSAs internal users on managing the portal; and
5.Events management for the launch of the portal.

eC2:Undertaking Optima HIV studies and capacity building

Consultant firms will be required to:
a) complete, under leadership of the World bank Task Team Leader, 12 Optima HIV modelling studies using both the allocative efficiency and cascade modelling approaches
b) Support the World Bank and country team in disseminating results of country analyses through academic publication, policy briefs and in-country dialogues
c) Follow up to assess actual changes in allocations
d) Undertake capacity building in Optima HIV

Jointly, these case studies will contribute economic, health impact and epidemiological evidence to the overarching question of improving the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of HIV responses in these countries and building the global evidence base for better allocative efficiency.

eC2: Development of Community Landslides Risk Mitigation

The objectives of this assignment are to: i) carry out a Landslide Vulnerability Assessment; ii) identify the policy, legal and institutional constraints in resettlement of vulnerable people and recommend improvements; iii) develop operational procedures and manuals for efficient planning and execution of a national program for landslide risk mitigation including resettlement of people living in high risk areas; and iv) based on the above outcomes, develop a time bound, implementable Community Landslides Risk Mitigation Action Plan.The Government intends to develop an investment proposal for landslides risk mitigation and seek funds from donors to support the program. A secondary objective of this assignment is to produce data, knowledge, and materials required for preparing of such proposal.

eC2:Agribusiness PNG: Fresh Produce Pest/Disease Extension Services

IFC through its Advisory Services activities is working in PNG to improve the income of the lead firm linked small holder farmers by improving farmer access to technology, markets, finance and information.

IFC will work with a distributor(the Client)who is a new entrant to the fresh produce supply chain. Working with the client to build its capacity in fresh produce supply is envisaged to improve opportunities for farmers, particularly women farmers in the highlands to access markets in Port Moresby through the deployment of extension training, improved access to inputs and access to information. IFC work with the client to build its internal fresh produce supply chain and logistics capacity and link the farmers to markets in Port Moresby. As part of the fresh produce supply chain development in the Agribusiness PNG Project, IFC is now seeking a qualified consulting firm to build the capacity of the Client in providing pest/disease relate extension services to farmers.
