Development of hydraulic models for water simulation in 7 cities supporting risk 
screening of infrastructural intervention proposals.
Scope of Work:
Task 1: Preparation with an inventory of flood hazards and available models and data:
Provide a comprehensive assessment of the threats caused by flood hazards in the seven cities;
Task 2: Adapt the existing hydrological and hydraulic models for the seven cities;
Task 3: Flood hazard mapping and additional recommendations for the seven cities;
Task 4: Training assigned staffs of the seven cities.

The World Bank is assisting Local Government Authorities in Tanzania to implement a 
number of investments through PPP, in particular those projects that would not require any public funding (aside from land contributions) and might generate new sources of revenues for the LGAs.
As part of the project preparation, the Word Bank is seeking a firm to undertake studies that will assess the viability of the projects in light of the economic, legal, financial, market, socio/environmental, affordability and value for money factors. The studies will allow the LGAs to determine the projects viability, whether they should pursue a PPP solution for the selected facilities, and what form of PPP should be developed. The Local Government Authorities will be the Contracting Authority (CA) for the PPP projects.

The World Bank is seeking a firm to prepare and undertake baseline data collection for a
long-term impact evaluation survey in Niger. The survey is a large-scale and complex survey. The sample will include approximately 3,500 households. The instruments will include a household survey that will be provided by the World Bank team and will include anthropometrics measurement of children under 5 years of age and water quality testing.
Baseline data is expected to be collected in approximately 150 villages in Dosso, Maradi, Zinder, Tillaberi and Tahoua. The data collection is expected to take place in late February/ early March 2017.
Kenya’s tropical climate and volcanic red soil make it an ideal place to cultivate tea. That’s why, for over a century, tea has been a major cash crop and the leading foreign exchange earner for the country.
Investments in new technology can’t make Kenyan tea any tastier, but they can help boost production and farmers’ earnings—and these are the goals of a recent IFC investment to finance small hydropower plants along rivers close to growing areas.
