eC2: Support to Moldova Food Safety Agency on designing a raw milk monitoring program

With this assignment, the Moldova ICR Project (#600467) is looking to provide follow-up Kalf in stalsupport to the National Food Safety Agency (ANSA), the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure (MEI) and the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment (MARDE), in designing a Raw Milk Monitoring Program (RMMP) that is aligned to EU requirements. The task is a continuation of a previous engagement with ANSA on the development of an Action Plan for gaining EU market access for milk and dairy products, where the absence of the RMMP has been identified as an important barrier to access EU markets.

eC2: CONSULTING FIRM – TO IMPLEMENT AN ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, A FOOD SAFETY MANAGEMENT PROGRAM, AND GRAPHIC ARTIST (DESIGNER) SUPPORT FOR COMMUNICATION ENHANCEMENT

The project will support the IFC Client to assist in the development of ~3,000 grape-growing farmers by improving their productivity, efficiency, and profitability through enhanced land management, grape cultivation, harvesting and drying practices. The project will promote climate-smart and precision farming practices, thereby facilitating farmer access to export markets through the IFC Client. IFC is seeking to recruit a firm to assist IFC and it’s client in the following activities:
Section 1: Development of an environmental and social management system;
Section 2: Implementation of a food safety management system; and
Section 3: Graphic Artist to Support Management Systems Design and Enhance Communication

The Project aims to support the Moldova National Food Safety Agency (ANSA) to shift to the risk based inspections system, develop clear risk criteria, inspection checklists, sound methodology and procedures for planning and performing inspections, including reactive inspections, and taking enforcement decisions – as introducing risk based inspections and risk-proportionate enforcement is one of the critical steps in developing a modern, performance based inspection system. Vietnam, World Bank and the Netherlands to cooperate on food safety

Attached a picture of Ousmane Dione and Nathan together with the Prime Ministers Phuc of Vietnam and Rutte of the Netherlands this Monday at the Catshuis (local equivalent of the White House) in The Hague, signing a trilateral MoU regarding collaboration on food safety. A spin-off under the WBG-NL Food for All Partnership. Great work by the Country Office and the Dutch Embassy Hanoi.
