This activity will involve assembling global evidence and analysis on electric mobility programs and their impact on development. The objective is to help countries design electric mobility programs that are successful and effective at achieving their intended development aims across climate, economic, fiscal, and technical dimensions. The scope of analysis will consider (i) private vehicle transport; (ii) public transport; and (iii) freight transport. The firm / organization selected for this assignment will implement 3 core activities: 1. Data and information gathering on the current state of electric mobility around the world – including (i)status of key technologies; (ii) definition of key market participants; (iii) development of a database on ongoing or recently completed pilots or programs; 2. Collection of stakeholder views through interviews and surveys; and 3. Compilation of country case studies on electric mobility programs.
In 2015, the world committed to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4 to “ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.” More than an inspirational target, SDG4 is integral to the well-being of our societies and economies – to the quality of life of all individuals.

When the door closed behind her, Maria’s world seemed to collapse. The mother of a girl and two boys had just learned that her eldest son, the teenager who became the pillar of the family after their father died, was not only in a deep depression and increasingly using alcohol but he was gay. She had noticed him becoming moodier and even heard he received a warning at his job for not showing up, something totally unlike him at all. She felt helpless but knew his depression had to stay hidden from the rest of the family and the neighbors as mental health problems brought with them social stigma. But she was most afraid someone would find out he was gay, causing the family to be ostracized and endangering the future of the other children.
An increase of nearly 30 per cent on the previous year, boosting projects that help developing countries cut emissions and address climate risks.

This has been a demanding challenge. At the start of our engagement on financial access back in 2013, we said that having a real target with an end date would keep us focused and give us a benchmark against which we could measure progress.
