eConsultant2: Malawi GAFSP Evaluation – Survey Firm – DEADLINE AUGUST 13

IFC is looking to hire a survey firm to manage all aspects of a baseline household data collection, entry and management for a prospective, rigorous impact evaluation of two interventions: an outgrower scheme and employment of unskilled labor at a commercial farm. The purpose of the household surveys is to estimate the baseline wellbeing of smallholder farmers in the Salima province of Malawi, where the company operates. The baseline will be used to better understand the context of these farmers, and to measure the effects of their engagements with the company over time by comparing the results against a midline (September 2017) and an endline (September 2019) data collection. Tender: Implementation Support Consultancy for Sri Lanka Water and Sanitation Improvement Project

The Government of Sri Lanka has applied for financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Sri Lanka Water Supply and Sanitation Improvement Project (SLWSSIP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services.

The consulting services include the provision of technical and project management support to the Project Management Unit (PMU) housed in the Ministry of Urban Development, Water Supply and Drainage (MUDWSD) and to associate Project Implementation Units (PIUs) in the districts of Mulaithivu and Kilinochchi in Northern Province, Nuwara Eliya in Central Province, Badulla and Monaragala in Uva Province and Kegalle and Ratnapura in Sabaragamuwa Province. The Trade and Competitiveness Global Practice of the World Bank Group (WBG) assists governments and the private sector in exploring and enabling market opportunities in agribusiness. One of the key areas of focus of T&C is to support the growth of small and medium enterprises, from serving local and domestic markets to entering and upgrading in global value chains (GVCs). This is done by building marketing competence, facilitating market linkages, extending access to early-stage finance and appropriate technologies, and building managerial capacity. This work often entails supporting the development of aggregators or intermediaries. A key example for the agribusiness sector is infoDevs pilot program on the use of local intermediaries to effectively deliver financial and technical assistance that enable the growth of agro-processing SMEs. Review of the Mozambique Rural Water Projects Implementation Manual

The National Water Directorate (DNA) has requested the Water and Sanitation Program of the World Bank (WSP) to support the review of Rural Water Supply Project Implementation Manual (MIPAR) approved by Ministerial Diploma No. 23/2002 of 13 March. Therefore WSP requests all interested consulting firms working in the area of water and sanitation to submit their Expression of Interest to carry out this assignment.

eConsultant2: Vietnam Technical Support Flood Risk and Water Management Project

The World Bank is looking for a consulting firm to provide guidance to the clients project preparation consultant and review the outputs generated by the clients consultant in the following aspects:

  1. hydrodynamic modeling of the Phan River Basin built by the consultant already engaged by the client;
  2. feasibility study of the project, especially the sections related to alternative analysis, hydraulic structures, pump station layout and selection of pumps, economic analysis;
  3. consistence among the feasibility study report, environmental impact assessment report, and resettlement action plan, as well as other project documents that may be reviewed.
