WASHINGTON, April 26, 2016— Amid improving market sentiment and a weakening dollar, the World Bank is raising its 2016 forecast for crude oil prices to $41 per barrel from $37 per barrel in its latest Commodity Markets Outlook, as an oversupply in markets is expected to recede.

The World Bank is in the initial stages of working with Vietnams Ministry of Agriculture 
and Rural Development for the identification of preparedness and risk reduction measures for coastal hazards. This assignment can be seen as a first step in establishing an overview. Later on, activities to come to design guidelines, feasibility studies and possibilities for Public Private Partnerships are foreseen

This consultancy has three main objectives: (a) Update the information about the current 
piped sewerage system and treatment plant of Monrovia (Liberia), in particular carry out a customer enumeration, compile a map of the existing system as well as estimate the demand and willingness to pay for piped sewerage; (b) Assess the technical options and associated costs for a rehabilitation of Monrovias piped sewerage system, and its phased extension to priority areas, recommending a technical solution;(c) For the recommended approach, prepare a detailed design and costing, including draft safeguard and tender documents, for Phase 1 i.e. the rehabilitation of the existing system and important minor extensions up to a budget of US$ 20m.
Ten leaders, including Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany Angela Merkel, Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto, and World Bank Group President Jim Yong Kim, have laid out goals in a joint vision statement to expand carbon pricing to cover 25 percent of global emissions by 2020, and achieve 50 percent coverage within the next decade.
Currently, some 40 governments and 23 cities, states and regions put a price on carbon pollution, accounting for 12 percent of annual global greenhouse gas emissions. This marks a three-fold increase over the past decade.

The Firm will be hired to do a landscape analysis of private investors, both global and local,
who are already active in the health and/or RMNCAH space in developing countries, and identify possible opportunities to leverage GFF and partner resources and financing instruments to encourage more pro-poor, bottom of the pyramid investments to maximize health impact. Private sector for the purposes of this analysis will include investments into both for-profit and not-for profits (including NGOs).

IFC is working with KTDA to carry out soil and leaf testing across the 67 factories. The project will collect a statistically valid set of soil and leaf samples from each major soil type. Analysis of these samples will identify macro and micro soil nutrient deficiencies, which will be addressed through the development of improved fertilizer blends and application recommendations.

The Equity Analysis of Piped Water Delivery in Urban Mozambique (P156563) study have the following objectives:
i. Identify the urban poor, their level of and trends in access to improved water supply services, and conditions of access to services.
ii. Undertake a thorough review of access constraints to water supply by the poor.
iii. Model the investment requirements for rehabilitation and expansion of water supply services, and impacts on operational and maintenance costs.
iv. Based on (i), (ii), and (iii), understand potential mechanisms to address access constraints to inform policy, regulation, and utilities action plan to secure access to improved water by the poor.
