eC2:Formative research. Social and behavioral change communication to promote improved water, sanitation and hygiene behaviors in rural Cambodia

The objective of the assignment is to assist the MRD and key stakeholders in the rural WASH sector to develop a SBCC package to promote improved WASH behaviors. This requires completion of the following tasks:
1) conduct rapid, qualitative research on handwashing with soap (HWWS);
2) develop an overarching umbrella brand to be used for all future WASH campaigns including branding guidelines;
3) develop a behavior-specific campaign to promote latrine adoption and HWWS among rural Cambodians that includes training manuals, activity guidelines and outreach tools (both print and audiovisual);
4) conduct training to government staff on how to use and train others in the use of the tools;
5) conduct launch event of campaign materials.

The SADC Disaster Risk Reduction Strategic Plan lays out the following key activities: To strengthen governance, legal and institutional framework at all levels of DRR in the region. Promote the usage and management of information and knowledge, innovation and education to build a culture of safety and resilience at all levels in the SADC region; Ensure that DRR becomes a national and local priority with a strong institutional basis for implementation; and The integration of preparedness and emergency response into national and regional DRR interventions.

The principal purpose of the evaluation is to assess the extent to which GAFSP is achieving its key objective of improving the income and food security of poor people in developing countries. The evaluation should look into the overall impact of the Program, and the impacts of the Public Sector and Private Sector Windows respectively, including the Missing Middle Initiative, addressing overall operational and development effectiveness. the Programs performance should be evaluated against criteria including relevance, efficiency, impact, sustainability, additionality, and operational effectiveness/accountability of the Program and the related indicators.

The World Bank in a collaboration with TNP2Kis analyzing the early implementation of digital delivery for Indonesia social assistance programs through a landscape survey on financial inclusion. The objective of this survey is to stock take the success and challenges in implementing the payments and at same time to observe the readiness of some other locations that are not yet applying digital payment for the programs. In overall, the survey will conclude list of policy suggestions for GOI to improve and completely better off in executing digital payments to social assistance beneficiaries as mandated by the President Joko Widodo, and capable to achieve financial inclusion target set by the National Council.

eC2:India – Energy Access Energy Survey

World Bank-ESMAP would like to hire the services of a reputed firm which has extensive experience in household surveys. This firm will conduct the baseline surveys (household, community and community facilities) on energy access in the four states. In addition, enterprise survey will be conducted in two of these states- Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand, and a mini-grid operator survey in Uttar Pradesh. The surveys will be representative state-wide for these states and will be administered in both urban and rural localities. The scope of work could change later, if needed, to include additional states.

eC2: Can Tho land value capture exercise for sale of land and/or development rights

Public investment in infrastructure upgrades, flood risk management and resettlement of informal dwellers will facilitate creation of private, economic value. Alienating publicly-owned sites and selling additional development rights that would enable denser development on existing private parcels would enable the city to capture and leverage the some of the private value created by the public sectors investments. To unlock this additional economic value, the city, engaging with World Bank and technical consultants should identify: an appropriate strategy that takes into account existing constraints, institutional capacities and market context.
