FIG AS is looking to recruit an experienced consultant to roll out a Trade Finance training program that will be developed based on that developed under IFCs Global Trade Finance Program (GTFP). The objective of the capacity building program is to: (i) upgrade skills in structuring both basic and complex trade finance transactions; (ii) improve knowledge in the ICC trade finance publications as well as trade finance risk mitigation techniques; (iii) upgrade operational and technical product skills of trade finance back offices; and (iv)transfer current international best practices in trade finance to local markets (v) guide the team to grow trade business i.e. target and penetrate trade rich segments. The program will be rolled out to 100 staff in 4 sessions of a maximum of 4 days per week.

The Government of Fiji has engaged IFC as transaction advisor to advise on the structuring of a Public Private Partnership to develop affordable and climate resilient housing. The project is proposed to be implemented as a mixed income housing development consisting of both single unit dwellings and units under a strata scheme across a number of sites on Viti Levu, the main island of Fiji. To support IFC’s advisory work on the project, IFC is looking to engage an experienced technical and engineering firm to carry out the following key tasks: (i) housing demand and affordability, (ii) development of technical specifications, (iii) project costing and (iv) technical support during the PPP design and bidding process.

The consultant will organize 2 workshops each in Varanasi (Location 1) and Sambhal (Location 2) districts of Uttar Pradesh, i.e. a total of 4 workshops. The two workshops in each location comprise (1) Workshop with farmers, community members, local representatives, and (2) Workshop with local government representatives, civil society, private sector and other stakeholders, respectively. The consultant will design the workshops, identify and invite appropriate participants, manage logistics of the workshops, and submit a detailed report to the World Bank documenting discussions in detail and highlighting key takeaways in line with the objectives. The consultant will be hired for a period of 12 weeks.

Launched by the World Bank in partnership with IFC, the WACA Call for Innovation will try to seek solutions for the six WACA countries to reduce the impacts on down drift coastal erosion of port infrastructures, either by retrofitting existing port infrastructures or by building new ones. The solutions can be both passive (a proper design of ports) or active (with e.g. a sand by-pass system). The solutions must ensure their feasibility in the West Africa coastline context.

The main objective of this study is to carry out a study of supply and demand of urban transport in Monrovia, develop urban accessibility analysis, identify priority investments to meet the growing mobility demand (with a focus in poor population and vulnerable groups) and develop the concept and estimated budget for priority interventions. The study will also assess ways to enhance private sector participation in the provision of bus services. The study comprises the following activities: (i) Diagnostic of Greater Monrovias current urban mobility supply and estimation of future transport demand; (ii) Accessibility analysis to social and economic opportunities; (iii) Demand/Supply analysis; (iv)Identification of priority urban mobility investments; (v) Definition of concept and estimated cost of priority urban mobility investments; and (vi) Identification of private sector opportunities in priority investments.
