Last yeimagesar the Netherlands Enterprise Agency organized an event on procurement focused on the international financial institutions e.g. World Bank Group and Inter-American Development Bank. On November 2nd   in the Hague, a World Bank specific event will be organized in co-operation with the Netherlands’ Embassy in Washington, DC. The procurement event is geared to Dutch companies and organizations who have experience bidding for World Bank funded projects. Sessions will be organized to address specific aspects of and bottlenecks in the WBG procurement process. eC2: Lighting Asia Bangladesh Consumer Education and Outreach Campaign

Lighting Asia -Bangladesh is designed to counter market spoilage by promotingsolar-energy internationally accepted quality standards. It also works to remove tariff and non-tariff market entry barriers. The program also undertakes market research to generate market intelligence on market size, consumer preferences, access to finance, distribution channels etc. Low consumer awareness on high quality, affordable, solar-powered lighting products and appliances has been identified as a constraint to the uptake of clean lighting alternatives, and therefore a hindrance to the development of the off-grid lighting market in Bangladesh.  The Lighting Asia Bangladesh team is now looking for an agency to implement its Consumer Education and Outreach Campaign.
