The objective of this assignment is to develop for the ANRiN PMU, creatives and associated collaterals, for an effective above-the-line and below-the-line mass media campaign to improve nutrition during the first thousand days window in Nigeria through the ANRiN project. Additionally, a model media plan will be proposed for the mass media campaign to the PMU for roll out during the life of the ANRiN project.
In a decade of miserable trade growth, 2019 is set to make the record books for all the 
wrong reasons. Since the Great Recession, trade growth hovered around 3 percent per year, down from the 7 percent growth rates for the two decades preceding the crisis. This year world trade is expected to grow slightly above 1 percent. We find that policy uncertainty might account for almost half of the slowdown of world trade growth in 2019.

The objective of this assignment is to support the Government of DRC in attracting the private sector for the electrification of provincial capitals. To this end, the consultant will review the legal/regulatory/PPP framework and tools, use the results of a technical prefeasibility study to develop financial models for 2 to 4 provinces, consult local/regional/international private operators/utilities, develop appropriate PPP contract samples, assist the government over the procurement process, and develop a comprehensive capacity strengthening plan for 2 to 4 provincial governments and the regulator.

IFC has launched the Agri-processing Resource Efficiency (APRE) Project which aims to help the post-harvest agri-processing sector in South Africa to improve sustainability and competitiveness, emphasizing reductions in fresh water consumption through improved efficiency and/or water recycle/reuse, along with reductions in energy and waste and increased adoptions of renewable/clean energy. Animal slaughtering and processing (i.e. read meat and poultry), diary, fruit & vegetables are top three target sub-sectors for APRE to help in South Africa. The objective of the assignment is primarily to help develop new business and deliver solutions to clients by engaging with agri-processing companies in the three target sub-sectors to provide advisory and implementation support on water/wastewater and related energy efficiency measures to save water and operational costs, as well as to support sector aggregators to develop and disseminate replicable solutions and best practices.

To assist the operations of its investment clients, IFC intends to support an advisory project to substantially increase the local sourcing of commercially available malt barley from smallholder and emergent commercial farmers in Ethiopia. The three-year project would facilitate the expansion of local sourcing from current levels (20KMT) to around 80 KMT of raw malt barley from 40,000 farmers by the end of the project. The project will be focused on 23 woreda in Arsi, West Arsi, Bale and Shewa zones. IFC requires consultant services to assist with improving the malt barley production capacity of farmers in these areas. The work will have the following subcomponents: Improving farmers access to improved seed varieties. Improving farmers access to other inputs such as crop protection products and fertilizer. Building the agronomic and technical capacity of barley producers.

In a classroom in Armenia, students are receiving grades for their ability to repeat memorized text, with textbooks dominating the learning process rather than teacher instruction and innovation, leaving graduates unprepared for a competitive work environment.
In Bangladesh, despite improving enrollment rates, girls are still not learning as much as boys, and dropout rates are high – with lost years in schooling being attributed to child marriage, household responsibilities and other factors.
For over 70 years, the World Bank Group has successfully raised funds in the capital 
markets to invest in development projects. Through its arm for middle-income countries, the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD), the World Bank Group funded public sector projects like roads, green energy, health or education systems; and through the International Finance Corporation (IFC), it provided capital to the private sector in developing countries to help businesses grow and provide jobs, taxes and other wider societal benefits.
Illegal logging, fishing and wildlife trade rob the world of precious natural resources – 
and ultimately of development benefits and livelihoods. The statistics are grim: an elephant is poached for its tusks about every 30 minutes, an African rhino for its horn every 8 hours, one in five fish is caught illegally, and in certain countries, particularly in Africa and South America, 50% to 90% of timber is harvested and traded illegally. As much as 35% of the value of all illegal trade is estimated to come from rosewood.
