Objective: The Green Buildings India program is a key component of IFCs cities initiative. It aims to champion voluntary uptake of resource-efficient buildings given that more than 70% of the buildings that will exist in India in 2030 have yet to be built. IFC is currently recruiting a senior-level short-term consultant (STC) for managing and executing key activities under its comprehensive Green Buildings India Program.

IFC is looking to hire a consultant firm to conduct a market study to identify challenges and opportunities as well as potential stakeholders of green financing products in both Indonesia and Vietnam (Consultant). This market study should be carried out with the objective to identify opportunities/feasibility for advisory services and investments by IFC relating to financing for green buildings in Indonesia and Vietnam. The study shall provide (1) an overview of the market, including status quo and challenges; and (2) feasible opportunities, especially ones where IFC can invest or engage.

The overall objective of this consultancy is to accelerate and promote understanding and reinforcement in the implementation of the Green Building Code and best practices on sustainability for Colombian Cities.
In the global effort to minimize the effects of climate change by drastically reducing greenhouse gas emissions, buildings can play a vital role.
They account for 18 percent of total emissions today, and are responsible for 60 percent of the world’s electricity usage, 25 percent of water usage and 40 percent of materials.
Those figures are certain to rise. By 2050, two billion more people will live in cities, a 50 percent increase from today.

(a) Outreach events in 5 cities:
a. Half-a-day events with an introductory session on EDGE & IFCs Green Building program (details to be shared at RFP stage)
b. Presentations by selected recognized architects/engineers/designers
(b) Knowledge exchange events at major universities in the same 5 cities
(c) Organise a national program with architecture, mechanical engineering and design students and leading architecture, MEP and design firms towards the goal of setting up an internship and career development opportunity for students. Support IFC in creating and managing the program.
