Task 1: Support the WBG team on the development and coordination of the PROBLUE project. The consultant should provide on-the-ground support, project coordination, and logistics for the WB team. This should cover elements related but not limited to organization of meetings, outreach, communication with stakeholders, as well as providing with local knowledge. Specifically, the consultant will: Serve as the WBG main focal point vis-à-vis the Ministry the Tourism and Transport and the private sector.
Act as a liaison to help set up meetings and ensure smooth conduct of meetings (
Ensure flow of information and documents between counterparts.

eC2: NORTH AFRICA Program: Sustainable Blue Economy and Coastal Management for North Africa

understanding the political economy drivers and constraints that influence change and cooperation within the countries and regionally, to achieve sustainable blue economy practices and sound management of coastal areas in North Africa;
(iii) Map out challenges, opportunities and priority measures of intervention for sustainable coastal and blue economy practices with stakeholders including potential trade-offs and;
(iiii) Identify gaps in funding and potential interest for additional investments from donors and organizations in the sector.

Dutch expertise welcome for West Africa coastal management

Coastal erosion and flooding in West Africa severely threaten communities, livelihoods, bb52c334-fea9-47f6-9eae-b5adc66a491dsafety and investment. There is an urgent need for international partners to mobilise financing through coordinated regional action. The World Bank and Netherlands Water Partnership (NWP) are on their way to formalising their partnership to exchange knowledge, expertise and information, and to increase business opportunities for the Dutch water sector. Last week, NWP’s Josephine Damstra attended the first Finance Marketplace in Ivory Coast, which was organised as part of the World Bank’s West Africa Coastal Areas Management Program.
