Objective: The objectives of the activity are to (a) improve quality assurance of expressways/toll roads delivered (mainly through reforming PMI and establishing PMO) and (b) reform and empower BPJT organisation; (c) develop options for the future role of BPJT to be able to perform such task for receiving and disbursing revenue received and raising capital based on such revenue streams or assets under its control as a new institution e.g: Badan Layanan Umum (specific service delivery Unit) or other form under Directorate General Bina Marga and or as independent entity.

I love the TV show “The Big Bang Theory.” It gives a sympathetic view of geeks, where the nerdy guy gets the beautiful girl—I just wish it had been made when I was in high school. I was the geek, without the chic. At the mercy of the big, macho kids, who seemed to have gone through puberty years before I even knew what the word meant.

Support the PPP program of the Road Authority of Indonesia with international best practices to:
1. Analyze the viability screening and appraisal of the BPJTs (Road Authority) planned toll road program. Help the client to analyze the potential of a group of toll road segments of attracting private sector investors, via public-private partnership (PPP) models or other approaches involving commercial financing.
2. Assessment on delivery of the Trans Sumatra by PT Hutama Karya
3. Provide high-level recommendations on how BPJT can improve its capacity to design a viable Indonesia PPP Toll Road program including financing schemes such as dedicated Viability Gap Fund (VGF) and Availability Payment options
