The objective of the assignment is to inform the client countries, cities, and public transport operators in the South Asia region of the benefits and implementation process of transit smartcard. Particular focus will be given to the early stage efforts for the integration of smartcard systems for different modes and cities, in order to prevent the future cost for integration when several different systems are already in use.
