With pleasure we would like to tell you more about our upcoming mission: The International Financial Institutions (IFI) Water technology fact-finding mission to Washington D.C. 22-25 January 2024. This event is co-organized with the other private sector liaison officers of Austria, Germany, Spain, Canada, Switzerland and England.

Water technology fact-finding mission to Washington D.C., 22-25 January 2024

During the fact-finding mission in January 2024, recent developments in the water sector focused on public private partnerships, digitization and circular economy in the field of Water and Sanitation at the World Bank Group (WBG), Inter-American Development Bank (IADB), Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) and United States Agency for International Development (USAID) will be highlighted. Companies and other organizations from Austria, Germany, Spain, Canada, Switzerland and UK present will be able to showcase their solutions and experiences during these sessions.

In addition, there is a possibility to have 1-to-1 talks on Thursday January 25th with respective water experts from the different institutions, companies from other countries or American partners on the Thursday with the support of the Netherlands Embassy IFI team in Washington DC.

In addition the mission has 3 separate moments for the private sector and other organizations to network with IFI staff. The first networking session will just be for the attendee’s from the different countries, the second and third will have the speakers and or colleagues from the IFI’s present. 

We hope that by having companies from different countries present new collaborations will be setup so to approach IFI tendering as a consortium in the future.

Our goal during this mission is to provide the IFI’s with ideas and solutions to help develop and enhance their agenda’s in the water sector by allowing the private sector to profile and discuss their solutions.
