Join us at the World Hydrogen Summit for a seminar on Financing Green Hydrogen Projects in Developing Countries with the IFIs and Invest International.

Background

Green Hydrogen is rising on the global agenda as a viable energy vector for the energy transition. The renewable power costs have declined and are continuing to decline, which decreases the gap between hydrogen from electrolysis and hydrogen derived from fossil fuels. This makes green hydrogen an important route to a climate resilient future.

The International Financial Institutions and Invest International are vastly expanding their operations in Green Hydrogen in lower- and middle income countries over the last couple of years and have launched several programs to support and accelerate the transition to greener energy in their client countries.

Seminar
The seminar is open to Dutch companies active in Green Hydrogen. The session will provide more insight in the role of the IFI’s and Invest International in financing hydrogen projects in lower- and middle income countries. The seminar will also touch upon the projects that are being developed and the potential business opportunities for Dutch companies. Furthermore, the participants will have the opportunity for an open dialogue with the IFIs and Invest International on their strategies and plans. Lastly, the seminar will dive deeper into Chile’s recently announced green hydrogen strategy.

• Case Study: Chile’s Green Hydrogen Strategy and opportunities for the Private Sector

The seminar will be moderated by Jacob Waslander, Special Envoy to the Middle East and North Africa for Water, Energy and Food, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
