The specific points on which geotechnical advice will be sought are not yet known. However, in general, it is expected that this advice will relate to:

Reviewing and commenting on initial assessments (e.g. desktop studies) of geological and geotechnical factors during the site selection process.
Reviewing and assessing the suitability of the scope and specifications of proposed ground investigation works.
Interpreting and commenting on the findings of ground investigation works.
Advising on the approach to investigate and mitigate issues related to specific, complex geotechnical conditions identified during ground investigations.
Assessing the suitability of ground conditions for the development of solar PV plants and associated infrastructure.
Reviewing and commenting on the suitability of approaches proposed by project bidders to mitigate ground risk in relation to specific geotechnical issues.
