Dutch Health delivers four boats to Bangladesh

On December 2, 2015 the Minister of Disaster Management and Relief, Hon. Mofazzal DutchHealth Boats BangladeshHossain Chowdhury (Maya) Bir Bikram, MP, handed over four Search and Rescue Boats, built by Dutch Health BV, to the National Coast Guard of Bangladesh. This project was financed by the World Bank.

The Coast Guard will operate the 14 meter long boats in the water-rich areas for effective offshore evacuation. The boats are build in the Netherlands by Dutch Health BV, an experienced in building Ambulance & Search and Rescue Boats worldwide.

The handover to the Coast Guard fits in the long term planning for rescuing people over water during natural disasters. It is the second step in a bigger plan to control the situation on sea. Two years ago, Dutch Health delivered six Ambulance Boats, especially designed for inland water-ways, such as rivers, lakes, ponds. The project was also financed by the World Bank.
