IFC TechEmerge Sustainable Cooling in Latin American Cities program

We are very pleased to inform you that today we launched an International Call for logo_ifcInnovation under the IFC TechEmerge Sustainable Cooling in Latin American Cities program.

Companies interested in joining the TechEmerge Sustainable Cooling program can apply from now until September 18, 2020.

IFC TechEmerge is an award-winning match-matching program that connects innovators from across the world with top companies and organizations in emerging markets, provides funding for pilots and offers support from industry experts to enter new markets, grow their businesses, and build commercial partnerships.   The Cooling Program’s first phase focuses on Latin America, specifically large urban centers in Mexico and Colombia.

IFC TechEmerge Sustainable Cooling in Latin American Cities: IFC has mobilized over 30+ leading Colombian and Mexican adopters and associations in diverse sectors, including retail, pharma, buildings and construction, logistics, ESCOs and labs.  These adopters are ready to pilot and test innovation in cooling, HVAC, and refrigeration, with the aim of scaling up sustainable cooling solutions and commercial adoption.  IFC has allocated a pool of up to USD 1.5 mn to support selected pilot projects.

Demand for cooling in Mexico and Colombia is expected to double in the next decade, and both countries represent excellent opportunities for innovators with sustainable, efficient, affordable solutions to enter the Latin American market at large.

Innovations we are looking for:  We are open to a wide range of innovative cooling technologies, products, and services. These include, but are not limited to, temperature-controlled logistics, HVAC for residential and commercial property, cooling for retailers and supermarkets, as well as scalable solutions for small businesses and remote learning for the next generation of cooling technicians. Innovation is sought in technology, equipment, technical systems, ICT application including software and applications development, and distance/digital training and certification.

We look forward to your interest and participation in the call.
