The assignment will provide analytical and advisory services to inform the World Banks policy dialogues and technical advices to support Vietnam through the MARD to develop its Agricultural Restructuring Plan (ARP) for 2021-2025 that responds well to the climate change (CC) adaptation and mitigation and contributes to the achievement of Vietnam NDC.
The objective of the study is to contribute towards the systematic mainstreaming of CC considerations in agricultural sector strategy. In particular, the study will help provide inputs to the ARP for 2021-2025 with a vision to 2030 to ensure that CC considerations are well spelt out and prioritized in the sector investment strategy.
The ARP is expected to cover 6 sub-sectors of agriculture, irrigation and drainage, forestry, fishery, livestock and food processing.
The assignment requires to work with MARD and selected provinces. Deep knowledge of the Vietnamese agriculture sector in the context of climate change and its implementation is expected. Participation of or/ and close collaboration with local partners in the assignment is preferable.
