The Conference is developed to support the Open & Agile Smart Cities initiative (OASC) and to stimulate discussions and share perspectives on smart city needs, with a focus on economic, social and technical development. Transforming Transportation is the annual conference co-hosted by the World Bank and EMBARQ, the urban mobility initiative of WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities. The event convenes leading transport and urban development experts from national and local governments, multilateral development banks, foundations, civil society, research institutions, and businesses from around the world. Smart Cities 2017 is a two day event featuring a full conference program accompanied by a leading exhibition of some of the leading technological innovative companies in the UK. The first day of the conference will focus on “secure cities” exploring physical and cyber security issues faced by modern cities in the UK.
